Elgato Stream Deck

What is it?  It’s a programmable key pad of sorts.  It is mainly geared towards game and podcast streamers. However, the Stream Deck can do a lot more than that, and you don’t have to even be a streamer to use it.  You can launch apps, launch macros, assign special keystrokes, launch websites, and even automatically twit.  If you have a TKL keyboard and you wish you had a num pad, guess what, you can turn the Stream Deck into a num pad.  You can also program Illustrator and Photoshop tool activation keys to speed up your design workflow.  Like I said you can do a lot of things with it.  But here is the cool part, each key is a little TFT display.  You can assign an icon, or any graphic image to each key, you can even put your picture on each key.  NOICE!

The Stream Deck has multi-profile capabilities.  You can assign profiles to an unlimited amount of applications, and the Stream Deck will switch to the correct profile automatically when you launch the target application.  And you are not limited to just the 15 keys, by assigning a folder to one key you can have another 14 keys, in theory you can have an unlimited amount of keys to assign task to.  The Stream Deck is USB powered and does not require an external power brick, excellent for on the go jobs.
